My communication skills have vastly improved over the years. In high school, I was always quiet, shy and didn’t talk much. Once I began working at Lowe's, I learned to communicate more effectively as that was part of the job. I would say that once I was promoted to be a Head Cashier, those skills increased even more because now I had to communicate and coordinate with other Head Cashiers to schedule lunch breaks and shift ends. During my time at Disney, I was promoted to become a trainer within the first few months of my internship. In order to be a trainer, I had to demonstrate my communication skills to my leaders so that they knew I could help new Cast Members learn effectively. In my collegiate career, I have written many articles, papers, and essays - some of these were research and some were persuasive. One project in particular - the Target Case Study - really helped mine my writing and communication skills as this required a lot of research and communication with my team members to write and present a persuasive proposal.
